What does polymer coated mean?
A Polymer Coating is a synthetic material applied to the inside of the glove during manufacturing to facilitate the donning of the glove.
What is "Vinyl"?
Polyvinyl Chloride(PVC) is made by polymerizing small vinyl chloride monomers. Plasticizers are added to soften the product. Vinyl can be an effective non-latex barrier when used short terms and/or in low risk situations.
What is "Nitrile"?
Nitrile gloves are made from a synthetic polymer composed of three monomers. One of the monomers, acrylonitrile, allows permeation resistance. Nitrile gloves can withstand exposure to many solvents and chemicals and are more tear resistant.
Are latex gloves made from natural rubber latex?
Yes, latex gloves are made from natural rubber derived from the sap of rubber trees, 'Haven Braziliensis', of which can be found commonly in Malaysia. These species of rubber trees are known to produce high quality latex with minimal dirt and other chemical contents, which is essential in producing high quality gloves.
Why is latex glove a better choice of protection?
Latex, being the main raw material in rubber gloves manufacturing, is the gold standard for durability. It demonstrates superior elasticity, strength and barrier protection. It out performs vinyl as well as any synthetic rubber in terms of maintaining barrier integrity in routine and high risks procedures. Research shows that latex gloves provide up to 9 times more protection during normal use than non-latex gloves.
Do our gloves meet ASTM D3578 (for Examination Gloves) and ASTM D3577 (for Surgical Gloves) or EN455 Standards?
Yes, our gloves meet the ASTM D3578 (Examination Gloves) and ASTM D3577 (Surgical Gloves). Besides the ASTM standards, our gloves have also surpassed the EN 455 Standards. Our Surgical Gloves have obtained the CE Mark and number i.e CE 0120.
What is the extractable protein and powder level in our gloves?
For our powdered gloves, extractable protein level is less than 200 microgram/gram, while powder level is below 120 milligram/glove. As for our powder-free gloves, extractable protein level is less than 50 microgram/gram, while powder level is below 2 milligram/glove.
